7. Honeybees in the Heartland
Honeybees in the Heartland is a county-wide public art project featuring 27 unique and exquisitely painted sculptures. Local businesses, organizations, and individuals sponsored a bee sculpture, each choosing the design and landing place of their bee. The sculptures were painted by a variety of artists – many of whom are local residents or have close ties to the community. The result was a hive of stylish and whimsical honeybee sculptures which bring joy and beauty to Nemaha County as they buzz across the landscape. In 2020, Honeybees in the Heartland was a Nebraska Passport Stop.

We are thrilled to welcome you to a summer filled with safe and enjoyable aquatic activities!
Our pool operates daily with lap swim from 11am to 12pm and open swimming from 1pm to 7pm. On Tuesdays, our hours are extended to include Family Night from 6pm to 8pm.

These captivating artworks not only adorn the city’s walls but also foster a deeper sense of connection among our community members, inspiring pride and a shared sense of belonging.

10. Nemaha Valley Museum
The Nemaha Valley Museum, Inc was started as a bicentennial project in 1975 with dedication of the building on July 4, 1976.
The main museum building, located at the southwest corner of Courthouse Square, was constructed in the early 1880’s.
Three levels of displays include tools and farm equipment, town information, wedding displays, a period law office, quilts, local advertising and much more.
